What data we collect and why

Contact form. When you submit our contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, country and message. We use this data to respond to your enquiry, and we send you a confirmation email so you know we received it. We process this data because it is necessary to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR) and because you actively submit it and consent to this notice via the form's consent checkbox (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs technical information for every visit (e.g. IP address, browser type, date and time, requested page) to keep the website secure and running reliably. This is based on our legitimate interest in the security and stability of our infrastructure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies (e.g. to remember your cookie preferences) are always active, since the site cannot work properly without them. Any other cookie — currently our own analytics (see below) and loading embedded Vimeo videos — is only set once you actively give your consent through our cookie banner, category by category.

You can review or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie icon in the corner of the page, which reopens your cookie preferences.

Analytics (Matomo)

We use Matomo, a self-hosted web analytics tool, to understand how visitors use this website — for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived at the site, and general device and browser information. Unlike many analytics services, our Matomo installation runs on our own infrastructure rather than a third-party cloud platform: this data stays with CADskills and is never shared with a third-party analytics company.

Matomo only starts collecting data once you actively accept the "Analytics" category in our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — before that, no analytics cookie is set and no data is sent to Matomo. You can withdraw this consent at any time via the cookie icon described above.

Embedded videos (Vimeo)

Some pages on this website embed videos hosted on Vimeo. These videos are not loaded automatically — a placeholder is shown until you actively click to load them, at which point Vimeo (operated by Vimeo.com, Inc., USA) may set cookies and process technical data such as your IP address in accordance with Vimeo's own privacy policy. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA for this purpose, Vimeo relies on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Timme Hosting GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, on our behalf. Timme Hosting processes the data described above (in particular server logs) strictly as our processor, under a data processing agreement, and only to provide the hosting infrastructure that keeps this website online.

Other services we link to

This website contains links to services operated by third parties, each with their own privacy practices:

• Directions to our office open in Google Maps, operated by Google Ireland Limited.
• File transfers use WeTransfer, operated by WeTransfer B.V.
• Placing and following up on orders happens on our separate ordering portal at orders.cadskills.be, which has its own account system and privacy practices, including any patient-specific data submitted with an order.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy notices before use.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for — for example, contact form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and no longer than required by law (e.g. accounting or product-liability obligations, where applicable). Patient data submitted in connection with an order is subject to the specific retention rules described in our General Terms and Conditions.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions (such as our hosting provider), or where we are legally required to do so (e.g. a request from a competent authority).

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request erasure of your data;
• request restriction of, or object to, our processing of your data;
• request a portable copy of the data you provided to us;
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Children

This website is intended for healthcare professionals and business contacts. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this notice

We may update this privacy notice from time to time, for example when we add a new feature to the website. The version published on this page is always the current one.
